Virtual Output Queues (VOQs)

• VOQs at ingress to fabric provide buffering and queuing for egress

destinations reached through the fabric

• Queuing of traffic entering fabric based on destination port (VQI) and

packet priority

• VOQs prevent congested egress ports from blocking ingress traffic

destined to other ports
