Epiphan and the metadata inclusions (manually). Streaming and recording happen in parallel at the
Videotorium server. Special Flash Player is used for video playback (no HTML5 support at the
moment). Signals are not combined during the whole process but only at the end (the Videotorium
portal does the synchronisation with the slides). The Linux box can even work as a stand-alone video
streamer/recorder with no user configuration needed. Except for a couple of components,
Videotorium is open source.

Studio2 videocard is used.

Open software runs on the Linux box.

Open software called Director grabs the slides, developed by NIIF.

The resulting video is a single stream and can therefore be edited with
any available video editing software, many of which are free of charge.
Metadata
It is not possible to place a logo on the video grabbing zone. Metadata is
not injected into the files, as they aren’t available for download from the
site.
