Start the terminal emulation session so that you can see the output display from the POST.

Step 3 On the PC terminal emulation program:

a. Set the data format to 8 data bits, 1 stop bit, and no parity.

b. Set the terminal emulation speed to 9600 baud.

c. Set the flow control to None.

Step 4 Go to the “Waiting for POST to Complete” section on page 2-12 to finish configuring the blade switch.

Connecting through the BX600 System Management Blade

Follow these steps to set up the blade switch by connecting to a PC through the BX600 system

management blade console port:

Step 1 Connect one end of a DB9 null-modem or a crossover cable to the RS-232 console serial port of the

associated management blade. Connect the other end of the cable to the RS-232 console serial port of

the PC. (See Figure 2-6.)
