BGP PIC – one simple example
On X1, it learn 250K routes from
BGP. Those 250K routes (Z1…Zn)
is in the “recursive” FIB leaf table,
since the next hop of the BGP
routes is the X2’s loopback
address, which is not directly
connected
On X1, it also learn the X2’s
loopback address route from IGP.
This route is in the “non-recursive”
FIB leaf table, since the next hop of
this route is the local interface
pointing to X4
