CoPP config – Catalyst 4500
A system macro system-cpp is defined at boot-up to create the pre-
defined class-maps and the default policy-map that conforms to the
specific format. The macro also attaches the service-policy system-cpp-
policy to the control-plane if no confliction detected in the class-
map/policy-map creation.
Pre-defined class-map has the same name as its matching static access-
list, starting with system-cpp-
Default service-policy contains only the pre-defined class-maps in the
pre-defined order, no action is specified for each class (no policing)
User can define their own ACLs and class-maps to match L2/L3-Fwd
traffic. User-defined class-maps should be added to the policy-map
system-cpp-policy for CoPP purpose.
