Removing and Replacing the Air Filter
Use the following procedure to clean or replace the air filters.
Step 1 Grasp the small tab on the edge of the air filter and pull the tab to remove the air
filter from the chassis (Figure 5-5).
Tip If you are unable to lift the tab on the edge of the air filter, use a flat-blade
screwdriver to lift the tab, then grasp it.

Step 2
Visually check the condition of the air filter.
• If the filter appears dirty, you can either vacuum or replace it.
Caution Do not vacuum the air filter while it is installed in the housing.
• If the filter appears worn or torn, dispose of it in a responsible manner and
install a replacement air filter.
