Chapter 3. InfiniBand technology

InfiniBand is an industry standard, switch based serial I/O interconnect architecture that

features high speed, low latency interconnects. InfiniBand has the ability to combine networks

into a single unified fabric that maximizes bandwidth and is easily scalable. Similar to an

Ethernet network, InfiniBand resources can be seperated into function specific subnets.

InfiniBand provides Quality of Service (QoS) and Reliability and Servicability (RAS).
