Management Console

The management console is a menu-driven interface for conﬁguring and monitoring the

switch. If your management station is directly connected to the switch console port, you

can use the management console even when the network is down because your direct

connection to the console bypasses the network and communicates directly with the switch.

For information about using the management console, see Chapter 4, “Conﬁguring and

Monitoring from the Management Console.”

Table 1-11 lists the conﬁguration settings, including default values, available from the

management console.
