• 24 or 48 10BASE-T/100BASE-TX Ethernet ports and 2 GBIC-based Gigabit
Ethernet slots
• Supports GBIC modules

CDWM GBICs
Configuration
• Supports optional Layer 3 routing
• Autonegotiates of speed and duplex operation on 10/100 Ethernet ports
• Supports up to 8000 MAC addresses
• Checks for errors on a received packet, determines the destination port, stores
the packet in shared memory, and then forwards the packet to the destination
port
Power
Redundancy
• Supports connection for optional Cisco RPS 300 Redundant Power System that
operates on AC input and supplies backup DC power to the switch (Catalyst
3550-24 and 3550-48 only)
Note The Cisco RPS 300 does not support the Catalyst 3550-24-DC switch.
