Enable
Check the box to enable SNMP. The box is checked by default. Disabling SNMP provides additional
security.
Port
Enter the port number that SNMP uses. The default is 161, which is the well-known port number.
Changing the port number provides additional security.
Maximum Queued Requests
Enter the maximum number of outstanding queued requests that the SNMP agent allows. Minimum is
1, default is 4, maximum is 200.
Apply / Cancel
To apply your SNMP settings, and to include the settings in the active configuration, click Apply. The
Manager returns to the
Configuration | System | Management Protocols screen.
Reminder: To save the active configuration and make it the boot configuration, click the
Save Needed icon at the
top of the Manager window.
To discard your settings, click
Cancel. The Manager returns to the Configuration | System | Management
Protocols
screen.
